Funny Melissa McCarthy Roles You May Not Remember

Identity Thief opens in theaters today and based on the trailer, it seems that Melissa McCarthy will bring the funny with her co-star Jason Bateman. (Actually, it is guaranteed because I saw it and it was magical.) Even so, Melissa has been bringing the funny to Hollywood for a while now. Before her Academy Award-nominated role in Bridesmaids and her TV roles in Gilmore Girls and Mike & Molly, she was showcasing her comedic chops. Even though she wasn't a headliner in the these movies and TV shows, she certainly stole every single scene she was in -- and it paid off. She is now one of the funniest ladies in movies and television...and I thank God for her every day. Check her out in these bit parts:

In the short-lived Samantha Who?, Melissa starred as Dena, the title character's (played by Christina Applegate) childhood friend. Even though she didn't poop in a sink while in the series, she was still damn funny!

For a split second, we get to see Melissa as a chipper office worker in Charlie's Angels. Then she calls Lucy Liu a bitch. So naughty!

In Go (one of THE best movies of the late '90s -- when raves were TOTALLY cool!), Melissa appears on-screen for a very limited amount of time with Jay Mohr and Scott Wolf -- and she owns every second with her awkward giggles and ditzy charm. It is one of the funniest moments of the movie. (Fast forward to timestamp :57 if you want to go straight to her bit).
