Lizzy Caplan Stars in the Best Fashion Film Ever

Thursday, February 7th by

The world of fashion is really good at making itself more pretentious than it already is (with the exception of those David Beckham H&M ads, of course). The latest trend seems to be all those artsy "fashion films" that look like moving Instagram filtered pictures and have celebrities doing things like running through a field, wearing crowns of flowers, staring blankly & longingly into the camera, and doing a voiceover as if they are telling a secret to a boyfriend that doesn't care -- all of that is covered in Fashion Film. Starring Lizzy Caplan, the short skewers all of those fashion films making their rounds on the Internet, making fashion more and more excruciatingly obnoxious. I must give props to fashion label Vena Cava for putting this out there. Not only does it cleverly market their lower priced line, "Viva Vena!" but it is a brilliant piece of fashion mockery -- and just in time for New York Fashion Week!
