Everyone was just really themselves at last night's Gangster Squad premiere in L.A: Emma Stone looked typically coiffed and beautiful, Nick Nolte wore a quirky robe, Sean Penn looked as if he just got up from his newspaper bed on the corner, and Ryan Gosling continued his campaign to capture every female heart in America. That's right, he had his mom, Donna Gosling, escort him down last night's red carpet. Everyone knows male celebrity heartthrobs are contractually obligated to bring their mothers to at least one event per year in order to maintain the "awwwwwwwwwwwww" factor among their female fans. But when it comes to Gosling, this is just unfair. He already saves women from oncoming traffic, breaks up street fights, and actually comes across as believable when he says "If you're a bird, I'm a bird" in The Notebook. So he didn't really need Mama Gos to make him more lovable, which means he maybe brought her because, sigh, he's just that kind of guy.  Goddamnit, Gosling. Just showing everyone up.
